Wrightbus secures Hong Kong order for 20 electric double-decker buses - Sustainable Bus
Citybus placed an order for 20 Wrightbus 6×2 StreetDeck Electroliner battery-electric double-deck buses. The agreement is the first worldwide order for the new triple-axle StreetDeck Electroliner platform, with deliveries scheduled for 2027. The 12-metre buses will be manufactured at Wrightbus’ facility in Malaysia and supplied to Citybus in Hong Kong, where Wrightbus vehicles have operated for more than two decades. The buses are three-axle models with 82 seats and capacity for up to 130 passengers, offering an operating range of up to 300 km. The contract value is reported at about £7 million, and Citybus selected Wrightbus through an open tender process assessing technical capability and commercial value.
