Volvo Buses has introduced the Volvo 7800 Electric articulated and bi-articulated bus models, marking a significant step towards sustainable public transport in Mexico. Built on the BZR platform, these buses will commence production at Volvo's Mexican plant, with deliveries starting in 2026. The bi-articulated model, 28 meters long, can accommodate up to 300 passengers, while the articulated version holds 191. Both feature rapid charging capabilities and promises of improved efficiency for Mexico's public transport infrastructure, reflecting a strong commitment to sustainability and reliability in urban transit solutions.
We are accelerating the transformation to sustainable and efficient transport solutions to further improve the public transport system in Mexican cities.
With the launch of the new Volvo 7800 Electric here in Mexico, we are taking a solid step in our transition towards electromobility in the country.
