The procurement process began on 2 March 2026 and was republished on the Shenzhen Sunshine Procurement Platform on 17 April after adjustments to tender documentation. Public results were announced on 15 May 2026. The project is divided into three lots by vehicle category and length. Lot 1 covers 725 low-floor electric buses in the 10–11-metre segment, awarded to Skywell with a bid of ¥630.75 million. Lot 2 covers 295 high-floor electric buses in the 10–11-metre segment, awarded to Zhongtong with ¥264.851 million. Lot 3 covers 200 low-floor electric buses in the 8–9-metre category, awarded to BYD with ¥176 million.
