The model is currently undergoing homologation and will comply with regulations on vehicle safety, cybersecurity, and comfort. Since the launch of Generation 8, more than 5,000 units have been produced, including around 1,500 for export markets, establishing the line as a global mobility platform."

Homologation and validation processes are underway to ensure compliance with vehicle safety, cybersecurity, flammability, surface treatment, and comfort regulations. Generation 8 coaches have exceeded 5,000 units produced globally, including about 1,500 for export, with production in Brazil, China, Colombia and Mexico. First deliveries are planned by the end of 2026, and Volvo’s 9700 range will resume European deliveries from Mexico the same year.
