"After a difficult prior year, MAN's 2025 results point to a clear recovery in the bus segment, with battery-electric vehicles emerging as the main structural growth driver. While the overall commercial vehicle market in Europe remained subdued-especially on the truck side-public transport investments and zero-emission procurement policies supported a strong upswing in bus deliveries. The group has just agreed with employee representatives on the MAN2030+ program, securing all German production sites while planning nearly €1 billion in domestic investments alongside wide-ranging cost reductions."
"The bus business was one of the strongest performers within MAN's portfolio in 2025. Total bus deliveries exceeded 7,000 units, up almost 49 per cent year on year, marking a decisive turnaround compared with the weak baseline of 2024. Growth was particularly pronounced in the urban segment, where electrification is progressing fastest. Battery-electric city buses accounted for the bulk of the increase."
MAN Truck & Bus delivered 101,600 vehicles in 2025, a 6% increase, including over 7,000 buses, a nearly 49% rise year on year. Battery-electric city buses exceeded 1,300 units, up more than 118%, driving urban-segment growth. Public transport investments and zero-emission procurement supported strong bus demand despite a subdued European commercial vehicle market on the truck side. MAN agreed the MAN2030+ program with employee representatives, securing all German production sites and planning nearly €1 billion in domestic investments alongside wide-ranging cost reductions.
