"The Double Ramp concept allows continued vehicle operation if the electric ramp is temporarily unavailable. In this case, bus personnel can deploy the manual ramp as a backup solution, keeping the vehicle in service and minimizing downtime. The further development Comfort Double Ramp also features a fast and simple installation process, along with a service-friendly maintenance concept, the supplier underlines. A specially developed "comfort hatch" provides access to key components in a few steps, supporting maintenance activities."
"In 2025 alone, Hübner says it manufactured and delivered more than 1,000 units of the Double Ramp system. Overall, more than 2,000 systems are currently in operation worldwide. The Double Ramp originated as a concept around five years ago and has since evolved into a product with increasing international demand. After projects in Madrid and Oslo, where more than 580 ramps were delivered in total, Hübner received orders from China for more than 501 ramps in 2024."
Hübner developed the Comfort Double Ramp, a hybrid bus access system integrating an electric ramp and a manual folding ramp into a single module to maintain operation if the electric ramp fails. The manual ramp serves as a reliable backup, reducing vehicle downtime. The module supports fast, simple installation and service-friendly maintenance via a specially developed "comfort hatch" that provides quick access to key components. Production reached 1,085 units in 2025, contributing to over 2,000 systems in operation worldwide. Previous deliveries included more than 580 ramps for Madrid and Oslo and orders from China exceeding 501 ramps in 2024. The system operates from -25°C to +80°C and supports loads up to 350 kg.
