"A total of 105 18-metre electric buses built by Solaris are on their way to begin operations in Milan under ATM's livery. By the end of 2026, all 105 will be in operation, strengthening the fleet of Milan's public transport operator. The first are beginning operations in these days, ATM shared. The partnership between Solaris and ATM in Milan began in 2014."
"According to ATM, the 18-metre buses, equipped with mirrorcams, can carry up to 130 passengers. The first vehicles will enter service on routes 165, 166, 727, 728 and 729, connecting Milan with the nearby municipalities of Sesto San Giovanni, Limbiate and Cinisello Balsamo. The order placed by ATM Milano involves the Urbino 18 electric model. This articulated Solaris e-bus will be equipped with Solaris High Energy batteries with a total capacity of 700 kWh."
ATM Milano will introduce 105 Solaris 18‑metre electric articulated buses into service, with all units operating by the end of 2026. The vehicles start entering service now and deliveries were expected to begin in the first half of 2025. Solaris has supplied nearly 500 vehicles to ATM since 2014 and has provided only zero‑emission vehicles to Milan since 2018. Each Urbino 18 electric carries up to 130 passengers, features mirrorcams, Solaris High Energy batteries totaling 700 kWh, and supports pantograph and plug‑in charging with route chargers enabling practically unlimited all‑day range.
