Required specifications included Class I battery-electric buses 11.70–13.50 m long, capacity of at least 80 passengers, three access doors (including a front inward-swinging sliding door), regenerative braking, two Combo2 plug-in sockets, and expected annual mileage of 80,000 km per vehicle.
