Briefly

Starting June 30, JFK Airport's AirTrain will offer reduced ticket prices of $4.25, down from $8.50, to help manage increased summer travel amid ongoing airport construction. The chairman has acknowledged temporary inconveniences due to a $19 billion construction project, emphasizing the long-term benefits of enhancing airport infrastructure. With limited parking, travelers are encouraged to use public transit, especially the AirTrain, which connects to Jamaica and Howard Beach stations.
Port Authority chairman Kevin O'Toole stated, "Yes, there will be some temporary inconvenience, but it's all part of building an airport our region can be proud of."
Officials project a record travel season this summer with projections of 18.3 million passengers, reflecting an increase of 300,000 from last year.
