Chocolate Covered Pumpkin Pretzels
"Planning any party, but specifically a Halloween party that provides for both kids and adults is by no means an easy task. The kids can't eat too much sugar, or they will bounce off the walls and then have a tummy-ache. Then the adults will want something delicious and fun that won't make them have a sugar crash before the night is over."
"3/4 cup orange candy melts 1 bag (16 ounces) mini pretzel twists 1/4 cup mini green coated chocolate candies Line baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside. In medium microwave-safe bowl, melt candy melts 30 seconds then stir. Working in 15-second intervals, continue microwaving until melted and smooth, stirring between intervals. With fork or dipping utensil, dip 36 mini pretzel twists, one at a time, into melted orange chocolate and gently tap side of bowl to remove excess."
Planning a Halloween party for both kids and adults requires balancing sugar limits and adult preferences. Chocolate Covered Pumpkin Pretzels use three ingredients: orange candy melts, mini pretzel twists, and mini green coated chocolate candies. The recipe yields about 36 pretzels with 10 minutes prep and five minutes cook time. Melt the candy melts in short microwave intervals until smooth, dip each pretzel, and top with a mini green candy as a leaf and a small broken pretzel piece as a stem. Let the pretzels set at room temperature or chill briefly to harden. Additional Halloween treat ideas are listed.
