Vive Crop Protection announces registration of foliar fungicide Phobos FC 360
"Canadian growers are looking for solutions that deliver consistent disease control without adding complexity to their spray programs. Phobos FC 360 brings a clear application advantage, stronger on-leaf retention, even coverage, and proven performance across Canada. We're excited to provide growers with another tool that helps protect yield potential and maximize the value of every acre."
"FC 360 contains prothioconazole (a Group 3 fungicide) and includes Vive's Allosperse delivery technology to ensure the product stays where it is applied and maintaining even coverage. Unlike competitive brands that can ridge and clump on the leaf surface, Phobos FC 360 delivers uniform distribution across the leaf surface and reduced rain wash-off."
"In Canadian trials, the Ontario-based company says Phobos FC 360 offered control of sclerotinia stem rot in canola. In Ontario winter wheat, Phobos FC 360 offered comparable fusarium head blight control/suppression to competitive standards, and in spring wheat the product delivered low DON levels under Manitoba conditions, along with strong suppression of foliar diseases."
Phobos FC 360 is a newly registered foliar fungicide in Canada containing prothioconazole, a Group 3 fungicide, enhanced with Vive's Allosperse delivery technology for improved leaf coverage and retention. The product is approved for use on canola, wheat varieties, barley, chickpeas, pulses, and specialty crops. Canadian trials demonstrated effectiveness against sclerotinia stem rot in canola, fusarium head blight in wheat, low DON levels in spring wheat, and suppression of foliar diseases including septoria, tan spot, and leaf rust. In barley, trials showed reduced fusarium head blight incidence and severity with competitive yields. The fungicide is compatible with liquid fertilizers and micronutrients for tank mixing, providing uniform leaf distribution and enhanced rain wash-off resistance compared to competitive products.
