"GSI's VersaLoop chain conveyor has been helping farmers move and store grain for more than a decade, and a new model promises to help growers handle even more grain, faster. The new 15,000-bushel-per-hour, 14-inch GSI VersaLoop chain conveyor will help farmers speed through harvest with increased capacity, says GSI product manager Shaun Sutton. In this report from the Farm Progress Show in Decatur, Illinois, Sutton notes that the capacity of GSI's previous 12-inch model topped out at 10,000 bushels per hour."
"The new model adds 33 per cent more capacity and includes a number of customizable sections, upload options, and transitions to fit the grain handling needs of a wide range of farm operations. Sutton says VersaLoop is capable of longer unsupported free spans than traditional chain-and-flight conveyors and can eliminate the need for support structures such as catwalks or towers."
The 14-inch GSI VersaLoop chain conveyor moves grain at 15,000 bushels per hour, offering a 33 percent capacity increase over the previous 12-inch model that topped out at 10,000 bph. The design includes customizable sections, multiple upload options, and transition pieces to adapt to varied farm operations and grain-handling layouts. The conveyor supports longer unsupported free spans than traditional chain-and-flight systems, potentially eliminating the need for external support structures such as catwalks or towers. The increased capacity and installation flexibility enable faster harvest processing and easier integration into existing grain storage and transfer systems.
