"Syngenta is introducing Elatus Era, a new fungicide for lentil growers designed to strengthen anthracnose control and support resistance management. Speaking with RealAgriculture, Carolyn Wilson of Syngenta says the product will replace the company's current Elatus offering over the next few years. "We're super excited to launch Elatus Era. It is lentil fungicide aimed at controlling your anthracnose and those group 11 resistant biotypes... It's going to replace our current Elatus offer in the market," Wilson says."
"Elatus Era maintains a proven anthracnose-active ingredient while replacing azoxystrobin with prothioconazole. The addition of prothioconazole is aimed at improving resistance management and broadening disease control. "With prothioconazole we also have some support with resistance management of those biotypes of anthracnose... we're going to have a longer window of application and have white mould control," she explains."
Elatus Era is a new lentil fungicide designed to strengthen anthracnose control and support resistance management. The product retains a proven anthracnose-active ingredient while replacing azoxystrobin with prothioconazole to broaden disease control. Prothioconazole aims to improve resistance management against group 11 resistant biotypes, extend the application window, and provide white mould control. The change is part of a broader stewardship strategy focused on areas where resistance has been identified. Elatus Era will phase in to replace the current Elatus offering and is expected to be available for the 2026 growing season. Growers should contact local Syngenta representatives or retail partners for information.
