Verratti reveals he is supporting AC Milan in Scudetto race: "A team I've always liked"
"Do you still follow Serie A? Who will win the league? Yes, I always follow Serie A. As for the squad, I think Inter is the most complete team. But this year there's Milan, who can do well without trophies. I don't know why, but this year I'm rooting for Milan. I know that my friend Zlatan Ibrahimovic cares about us, and Milan is a team I've always liked."
"Could you come back to Italy? Anything is possible in football, we'll see. For now, I'm here, I'll finish this year, and then we'll see. I'm not closing doors on anything, but I like to live in the present and not think too much about the future. We'll see at the end of the year what I want to do and what my family wants to do."
Marco Verratti is supporting AC Milan in the current Scudetto race while continuing to follow Serie A from Qatar, where he plays for Al Duhail. He considers Inter the most complete team but is backing Milan this season partly because of Zlatan Ibrahimovic and a long-standing fondness for the club. Verratti has never played in Serie A despite past links, having played in Serie B for hometown club Pescara and in Ligue 1 with Paris Saint-Germain. He remains open to returning to Italy after finishing the current year and hopes to see Pescara reach the top flight, possibly playing for them.
