"With a desire to sign another defender this month, AC Milan have looked to make a move for one of Massimiliano Allegri's former players. It is no surprise that Allegri is looking for players whom he trusts. After all, his staff are built with the same motivation and even in the summer, a few former players were linked. So, it is not shocking news that the theme is continuing."
"Koni De Winter has already arrived as a former defender, and it seems that he may not be the only one to share a previous experience with Juventus if Allegri is to get his way. As Tuttosport reports, the coach is also pushing to sign Federico Gatti. The Italian defender is not available per se, but a move cannot be ruled out, especially if Juventus get a defender in return. So, the Rossoneri have tried to organise a swap deal, but it has gone unsuccessfully."
AC Milan pursued another defender this month and targeted Federico Gatti as a former player trusted by coach Massimiliano Allegri. Koni De Winter has already joined Milan and shared previous Juventus experience. Juventus have not made Gatti available but could consider a move if they receive a defender in return. Milan attempted to arrange a swap involving De Winter, but Juventus showed no interest and the proposal failed. Milan will consider other defensive candidates for now. The club may revisit a move for Gatti later in the month if he returns from injury and lacks playing opportunities.
