Massimiliano Allegri is reportedly one step from becoming Napoli’s new manager after Milan’s defeat to Cagliari cost them a Champions League spot and led to his dismissal. Napoli have moved quickly to replace Antonio Conte, but the deal requires Milan’s approval and Allegri’s agreement to take no severance payment. Tuttosport reports Allegri could attempt to bring Adrien Rabiot and Alexis Saelemaekers to Naples. Rabiot logged 2550 league minutes with six goals and five assists, while Saelemaekers played 2802 minutes with three goals and four assists. Milan would likely demand full value for any transfers.
"Indeed, Napoli have moved quickly and are now closing in on the 58-year-old's signature, keen on bringing him in as the replacement for Antonio Conte. Of course, Milan still need to give their go-ahead and above all, Allegri has to agree to take no severance payment."
