SempreMilan turns 10 years old: A message of thanks from the team
"Thursday 22 January 2026 is not just another ordinary day for us at SempreMilan. In fact, it is a rather significant milestone. On January 22 2016, we published our first article on SempreMilan.com. The title was something that is a throwback in itself - 'Sinisa Mihajlovic: "The lads have been perfect"' - but Iet's face it is hardly a groundbreaking bit of news. The length of it? 391 words. From those humble beginnings, something big came over the next decade."
""So proud and grateful for the decade-long journey that we have had over at SempreMilan. What started as a passion project for myself and some friends has quickly grown into the biggest and best English-language community for a club we all love so dearly. It has brought together people from all corners of the globe - writers and readers - and we couldn't be more appreciative for all of those people who have made the site and the brand what it is."
"From recording podcasts in the bedroom at my parents' house in 2016 to being in the press area at San Siro, it has been a path of toil but also immense satisfaction. There's not a day that goes by where I don't stop and reflect on how lucky I am to do what I do, and how thankful I am to have met so many amazing people along the way."
SempreMilan reaches its tenth anniversary on 22 January 2026, marking ten years since its first publication on 22 January 2016. The first piece measured 391 words and bore the throwback title 'Sinisa Mihajlovic: "The lads have been perfect"'. The project originated when two Yorkshiremen and a Swede began writing about AC Milan in English, planting the seed well before the first article. The site expanded into a global English-language community that includes writers, podcast hosts, contributors, a graphics designer, a developer, and a wider network. The co-founder and editor-in-chief expresses pride and gratitude, recounting a rise from recording podcasts in a bedroom to attending press areas at San Siro. The team thanks all contributors and readers for their roles in the site's growth and expresses a pledge to continue improving.
