AC Milan have maintained interest in Jean-Philippe Mateta since last summer and through October and November. Crystal Palace rejected an official offer from Milan for Mateta, and Mateta had agreed personal terms with Milan. Juventus are also pursuing Mateta and have been able to agree a contract with him. Milan signed Niclas Füllkrug in the winter transfer window but remain prepared to pursue Mateta if an opportunity arises, with Mateta currently on Milan's summer target list amid uncertainty at Crystal Palace.
