Repubblica: Fullkrug out 500k as burglars broke into hotel room during Milan training
"This is usually the case for new signings as the Rossoneri want to help them as much as possible in the beginning, giving them a safe space. Or so you thought. On Wednesday morning, Füllkrug left his hotel room and travelled to Milan's training ground, Milanello, for the session of the day. However, upon returning to his hotel room, he found that it had been broken into by burglars."
"The safety box had been forced open too, enabling the burglars to steal watches and jewellery with an estimated value of €500k. As the newspaper continues, it's believed that Füllkrug didn't have insurance for these items either, though you would imagine the hotel has to take some blame. Authorities are investigating the matter and Füllkrug has confirmed what was taken from the room."
Niclas Füllkrug has been staying at a luxury hotel since joining Milan on loan from West Ham. He left his hotel to attend training at Milanello and returned to find his room had been broken into. The safety box was forced open and watches and jewellery with an estimated value of €500k were stolen. It is believed he did not have insurance for the items. Authorities are investigating and Füllkrug has confirmed what was taken. The hotel chosen by Milan may face blame, and investigators note that collusion by low-level staff can enable such burglaries.
