Reports: Milan initiate talks over Sassuolo centre-back ahead of January window
"As Calciomercato.com report, Milan are admirers of Idzes because he is 1.90m tall, is good in the air and more than capable with the ball at his feet. He can play as a centre-back in pairing or in a three-man defence, either down the middle or as one of the outside options. Izdes is undoubtedly one of Sassuolo's most important players at the moment, and though he can improve he has caught the eye of Milan."
"Sassuolo paid €8m to permanently acquire Idzes from Venezia. This figure was part of a larger deal that also included the purchase of Fali Candé from Venezia, for a total of €11m (plus bonuses). So far, those investing in him have been left smiling, considering the Venetian club paid just €750,000 for the 25-year-old to get him from Go Ahead Eagles."
Idzes is a 1.90m centre-back noted for aerial ability and ball-playing skills. He can operate in a two-man central pairing or in a three-man defence, centrally or as an outside option. Milan have renewed contact with his entourage but have not yet approached Sassuolo directly. Sassuolo paid €8m to acquire Idzes permanently from Venezia as part of a larger €11m deal that included Fali Candé. Venezia originally paid €750,000 to sign the 25-year-old from Go Ahead Eagles. His market value is rising toward €10m. Milan plan to sign a central defender in January.
