Reports: Date and time confirmed for Genoa-Milan and other Champions League clashes
AC Milan faced uncertainty over when their fixture against Genoa would be played. Lega Serie A attempted to heighten drama in the Champions League race by scheduling games to start at the same time. Teams were left without clear information, and Maurizio Sarri suggested a possible boycott of the derby against Roma due to the difficulty of arranging the match. A boycott would be disastrous for AC Milan, which needs to win both remaining games to finish in the top four. Alfredo Pedulla reported that Roma-Lazio will be played at 12 pm CEST on Sunday, and Nicolo Schira confirmed that Champions League games will also be scheduled for midday, aligning Milan’s Genoa match to the same time.
"AC Milan have been left in limbo regarding when their fixture against Genoa would be played. With the Champions League race heating up, Lega Serie A is trying to keep things interesting by scheduling the games to be played at the same time to increase drama. That it has, but not in the way hoped. Indeed, teams have been left in the dark and Maurizio Sarri even suggested that his team could boycott their derby against Roma due to the difficulty in arranging the game."
"Of course, this would be a catastrophe for the Rossoneri, who must win both of their remaining games to finish in the top four. It is never a dull day, is it? Schedule worked out? Alfredo Pedulla reported within the last few minutes that the games, headlined by Roma-Lazio, will be played at midday (12 pm CEST) on Sunday. Of course, this means that the Rossoneri's game against Genoa would also be at the same time."
"Shortly after, the news was further confirmed by Nicolo Schira, who reported that the Champions League games would be scheduled for midday on Sunday, too. It seems that the farce of scheduling may now be over. However, with Serie A, you never really know do you?"
