"AC Milan's centre-back pursuit continues to involve a lot of names, and according to a report, the Rossoneri have added Besiktas man to their list. Meanwhile, three targets are not convincing them for now. Unlike the striker pursuit, which ended with the signing of Niclas Füllkrug, Milan have been linked with a plethora of names for the centre-back position. Clearly, a lot more centre-backs are available in January than strikers, but this has also made things difficult."
"At least with the striker pursuit, Füllkrug was more or less the only solution that fit Milan's demands. No standout target yet According to today's edition of Gazzetta dello Sport (via Francesco Nasato), the likes of Niklas Süle, Axel Disasi and Radu Dragusin have all been offered to the Rossoneri. However, none of these options have convinced Tare and the management enough to take concrete steps."
"In the meantime, as reported by the reputable Turkish journalist Yagız Sabuncuoglu, Milan have added Besiktas defender Emirhan Topcu to their 'long list of targets'. They are currently evaluating the 25-year-old, per the report. No decision has been made on the primary target for the defence, evidently, but Milan will have to make up their mind relatively soon. Unless they want to wait for last-minute opportunities, of course, but that's a risky game too."
AC Milan remain active in the search for a centre-back and are evaluating a long list of candidates. The club has received offers for players including Niklas Süle, Axel Disasi and Radu Dragusin, but none have convinced the management to take concrete action. Besiktas defender Emirhan Topcu has been added to the list and is currently under evaluation. The club's sporting directors and scouts have had to assess numerous options as many agents present opportunities. The striker need was resolved with Niclas Füllkrug, but a primary defensive target has not been chosen and a decision will be required soon.
