'Perfect for Max's needs' - Agent believes Morata could have thrived under Allegri
"And to think that in 2017 he was really one step away from AC Milan. The Chinese owners wanted him, they were very close to signing him. He wanted to return to Italy, but the delays in the Rossoneri's closing complicated everything. Would he have done well in the new AC Milan? From a hunch, given the relationship they had in Turin, I think so. But it's hard to say for sure."
"Agent Giuseppe Bozzo believes that AC Milan should have considered letting his former client Alvaro Morata work under Massimiliano Allegri. Morata was heavily linked with a move to Milan during the 2017 summer window in which the club spent over €200m under new Chinese ownership. The No.9 was the missing piece for many, with Andre Silva and Nikola Kalinic eventually failing to get the job done."
Giuseppe Bozzo previously represented Alvaro Morata and brought him to Italy when Juventus signed him. Morata came close to joining AC Milan in 2017 during a summer window in which the club, under new Chinese ownership, spent over €200m; delays in the Rossoneri's closing prevented the move. Morata later joined AC Milan in the summer of 2024 but left after six months for a move to Turkey, then had his loan ended early and moved to Como. Bozzo considers Morata a strong tactical fit for Massimiliano Allegri, praising Allegri's ability to enhance attackers and Morata's sacrifice at Juventus.
