Pavlovic highlights Allegri's man-management approach with post-Cremonese anecdote
"I was very disappointed after the opening defeat against Cremonese. I felt like this could be a great season, and then you lose the first one at home, conceding two goals from two half-chances... I was feeling down. The next day I met him and he told me to relax, that it was only the beginning. I replied: 'Yes, but we can't concede two goals like that.' And he said: 'Don't worry, you're 24, you're still young for a defender, everything will be fine.'"
"He has an excellent approach with the players, he speaks often with everyone in the dressing room, he's a very positive person. That's another of his great strengths."
Massimiliano Allegri joined AC Milan in the summer, replacing Sergio Conceicao after a six-month tenure and following Paulo Fonseca's brief spell. Defensive improvements have been central to the club's better form. Strahinja Pavlovic reached 50 caps for Serbia and felt disappointed after Milan's opening home defeat to Cremonese, which conceded two goals from two half-chances. Allegri told Pavlovic to relax, reminded him that he is 24 and still young for a defender, and maintained a positive, communicative dressing-room approach. Pavlovic scored Milan's equaliser from a corner, but Cremonese won 2-1 thanks to Bonazzoli's acrobatic winner.
