Official: Alex Jimenez completes full AC Milan exit as Bournemouth confirm permanent deal
"The formula was a bit more complex than that though: it included an option to buy, that would become an obligation if certain conditions were met. The last of these conditions was ticked off during Bournemouth's draw with Aston Villa over the weekend, after which the full-back revealed in an interview with Mundo Deportivo why he chose to leave San Siro for the south coast."
"The 20-year-old, who joined the Cherries ahead of the current season, has now featured in more than half of the club's competitive fixtures, triggering the terms that secure his future until 2031 on the south coast. Arriving from AC Milan having come through the prestigious academy at Real Madrid, Jiménez has made a strong impression during his time at the Vitality Stadium, becoming a regular presence and gaining recognition weekly."
Alex Jiménez's initial loan to AFC Bournemouth has been converted into a permanent transfer after he met the appearance threshold that activated a buy clause. The 20-year-old has featured in more than half of Bournemouth's competitive fixtures, securing a contract on the south coast until 2031. Jiménez arrived from AC Milan after progressing through Real Madrid's academy and has made 22 appearances in all competitions, scoring his first Premier League goal against Liverpool. He won Bournemouth's Player of the Month for December and earned Sky Sports' Man of the Match versus Brighton. The fixed fee is reported at €19m, with Real Madrid retaining 50% and additional bonuses over €3m.
