Modric discusses Milan wish, Allegri's surprise and Italian experience: "A winner"
"I feel good, I like what I do. I feel good physically and mentally, I'm having fun, and everything is going well. I hope to continue like this. I'm doing a good job with AC Milan, one of my favourite clubs. As a child, I dreamed of playing for this great team. Italian football is different from Spanish football, but it's a very competitive league. Perhaps abroad, people don't realise how difficult it is. It didn't surprise me because I've always seen it."
"Allegri is a great coach, he's a winner. He surprised me with his personality. I enjoy working with him because of his ability to do so with great champions."
Luka Modrić joined AC Milan in the summer and has been instrumental in pushing the team to the top of Serie A midway through the season. Milan signed him for experience and because of his boyhood connection to the club. Modrić has formed a strong midfield partnership with Adrien Rabiot, performing with the composure and influence of a player in his prime, though occasional signs of fatigue have emerged. He reports feeling physically and mentally good, enjoys the competitive nature of Italian football, and praises coach Massimiliano Allegri's personality and winning methods.
