Milan Primavera 0-1 Lazio: Three red cards shown in yet another defeat
"Milan Primavera suffered a tough defeat against Lazio earlier this afternoon, definitely held back by the fact that two of their players were sent off. After the big defeat against Hellas Verona last weekend, the hope was that Giovanni Renna's boys would be able to turn things around this time out. However, an in-form Lazio squashed their hopes and yet another defeat was registered."
"Lazio pretty much sat back after that, giving Milan very little space to work with in attack. Things didn't get much better in the 34th minute, as the referee opted to send off both Simone Lontani (an important player for the Rossoneri) and Valerio Farcomeni (Lazio). The two got into it after a bad foul on Milan's Tommaso Mancioppi, and the referee clearly wasn't having any of it."
"While the first red card didn't exactly have a huge impact on Milan, since both teams played with ten men, the same cannot be said for the one in the 73rd minute. Indeed, Federico Colombo kicked an opponent and the referee spotted it straight away, giving him a red card. The game ended 0-1 and as a result, Milan are now 13th in the standings."
Milan Primavera lost 0-1 to Lazio after conceding a counter-attack three minutes into the game. Alessandro Longoni saved the initial shot but failed to keep out the rebound. Lazio sat back and limited Milan's attacking space. In the 34th minute Simone Lontani and Valerio Farcomeni were both sent off after an altercation following a foul on Tommaso Mancioppi. In the second half Edoardo Tartaglia hit the post and the Lazio goalkeeper made several saves. Federico Colombo received a red card in the 73rd minute for kicking an opponent. Milan dropped to 13th and have one win in five games.
