Marotta offers update on San Siro before expected signing: "We're at the final chapter"
"It seems like, finally, after such a long wait, Milan and Inter will not only own their own home, but also have the chance to bring it up to the level of modern football. San Siro is beautiful, and it will stand the test of time as one of the greatest stadiums ever. However, it has certainly seen better days, and with it no longer being seen as a viable option for European competitions, there is a need for an upgrade."
"The new project will bring that. More importantly, though, it will allow both clubs to profit from the stadium and add an extra source of revenue to their accounts. A massive step towards being able to compete more in Europe."
"Are we ready for the San Siro deed? "I think everything's finished. Dr Ralph is taking care of it on our end. I think we're at the final chapter," he told TMW, via MilanNews."
AC Milan and Inter are expected to sign the deed for the new San Siro in the next few days, with Beppe Marotta saying matters are almost finished. The new project will replace or upgrade the aging San Siro to modern football standards and restore its suitability for European competitions. Ownership will give both clubs control over the stadium and create a new revenue stream through stadium profits. Increased revenue is intended to help the clubs compete more effectively in European competitions. Dr Ralph is handling final ownership paperwork on Milan's side as the clubs approach completion.
