Massimiliano Allegri praised Mike Maignan as a top goalkeeper after the keeper saved a penalty in Milan's 1-0 derby win over Inter. Maignan has kept Milan largely unbeaten in Serie A this season and has saved three of his last six penalties in the league. His current contract runs until next June, and the club is working on a renewal to provide future stability. Milan sit second in Serie A, two points behind leaders Roma. Allegri warned that Lazio, coached by Maurizio Sarri, remain organised and dangerous despite sitting outside the top four.
