Jashari feels Milan did better against Como in draw than reverse fixture: "We were dangerous"
"When Jashari signed, it seemed he would fluctuate across the midfield positions. Instead, he has regularly stepped in for Luka Modric, and whilst he has done solidly, he should not be confined to one position."
"Indeed, the Swiss has the ability to perform in a number of positions, and playing in the '8' shows a lot more of his game than what playing deeper may be able to do. Against Como, he was bright, in an unconventional midfield - where Massimiliano Allegri is concerned."
"I agree with Rafa. It was a tough match, but we played better than in the first leg. We were dangerous with the ball behind their defence. It's sad we didn't win, but the next match is just around the corner."
Ardon Jashari played a more advanced midfield role and produced an impressive performance for AC Milan on Wednesday night. He was initially expected to rotate across midfield positions but has often filled in for Luka Modric. Despite doing solidly in that deeper role, he should not be limited to a single position given his skill set. The Swiss midfielder can operate in multiple roles and shows more of his qualities when deployed as a number 8. Against Como he was bright in an unconventional midfield setup under Massimiliano Allegri. Jashari noted Milan were stronger in this fixture than the first leg and felt the team created danger behind Como’s defence, expressing disappointment at not winning while focusing on the next match.
