Inter and AC Milan have been subjected to fines and managerial bans following an investigation into their ties with certain ultras groups. This inquiry was initiated in November after multiple arrests of ultras. The FIGC enforced penalties, including one-match bans for Inter's Simone Inzaghi and Hakan Calhanoglu, alongside substantial fines for both clubs and their officials. These sanctions come ahead of a crucial Serie A match for Inter, impacting their team lineup as they prepare to face Hellas Verona.
The investigation into the relationships between Inter, Milan, their players, coaches, executives, and certain supporters started in November after the arrests of several ultras.
Sanctions were imposed because of relations with unauthorised fan groups such as Inter's 'Curva Nord' and Milan's 'Curva Sud', the FIGC said in their ruling.
