I booked a weeklong trip to Milan. I was so disappointed that I changed my entire itinerary after just 2 days.
Briefly

Despite being known as a fashion capital and a major tourist destination, my experience in Milan was disappointing. It felt more modern and fast-paced than the historic and charming cities of Italy like Venice and Rome. Milan's mix of modernity, office life, and crowded shopping experiences didn't resonate with me. While I enjoyed the delicious food and the stunning Duomo, I ultimately felt ready to explore other Northern Italian towns after a short stay.
Milan felt more cold and fast-paced than the other Italian cities I visited. Unfortunately, my trip to Milan was a low point in my five-week Italian journey.
Although the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II shopping center was architecturally beautiful, the many tourists crowding through it took away from my experience.
