GdS: Possble shootout on the cards - the takers and savers if Napoli-Milan reaches penalties
"We want to reach the final in 90 minutes."
"I only train to stop them. We have good shooters, there's no need."
"It's a psychological duel, it's all in the eyes and in the head."
"He instilled serenity in me."
If the Supercoppa Italiana ends level after 90 minutes, the match goes straight to penalties. Napoli goalkeeper Vanja Milinković-Savić has saved nine of 45 league penalties (20%), recently thwarting Morata and Camarda, and previously denying Dzeko, Insigne, Pulisic, Castro and Retegui. He took and scored the seventh penalty in a shootout against Cagliari this season and scored in a Milan–Torino Coppa Italia match in 2021, drawing on a past as a striker. Mike Maignan has saved 15 of 67 penalties (22%), with recent stops including Dybala and Calhanoglu. Goalkeeping coach Claudio Filippi is credited with restoring serenity and form.
