AC Milan and Inter completed the purchase of San Siro after signing the deed last week. Implementation plans are to be presented within the next few months with approval targeted by February 2027 at the latest. After approval, environmental impact assessments and permit issuing will follow before construction can begin. Work is expected to start in October 2027 and the build is scheduled to take 36 months, targeting completion in October 2030. The clubs aim to inaugurate the stadium between December 2030 and January 2031 in time for the 2031-32 season and EURO 2032. Both clubs remain current Scudetto contenders.
