"For the AC Milan owner, it was nevertheless an opportunity to meet with the institutional leadership and other fellow club owners. It was a half-hour visit, accompanied by president Paolo Scaroni, during which Cardinale greeted Lazio President Lotito, Sassuolo CEO Carnevali, and Juventus director Chiellini. He also met again with Inter president Marotta, with whom he has a long-standing relationship, primarily because of the shared issue of the new stadium project. Then there's the old San Siro, which Cardinale will soon return to."
"After visiting the team two days ago - his second trip to Milanello since 2026, following the one at the end of January - Cardinale appeared at the Lega Nord assembly for the first time. Or rather, the discussion of the agenda had just concluded. For the AC Milan owner, it was nevertheless an opportunity to meet with the institutional leadership and other fellow club owners."
Gerry Cardinale visited Milanello and the Lega Nord offices during consecutive days, meeting club presidents and executives in a half-hour visit accompanied by Paolo Scaroni. He greeted Lazio President Lotito, Sassuolo CEO Carnevali, and Juventus director Chiellini, and met Inter president Marotta to discuss the new stadium project. Cardinale authorised recent investments, including Mike Maignan's contract renewal. The prolonged fan protest has passed, making a return to the stands possible. Cardinale will miss the Como match and is unlikely to attend Milan-Parma, but the derby on the weekend of March 7-8 represents a prime opportunity for a San Siro return to boost momentum.
