"[It's] nice that my father also played for Ajax. I am happy that I get the opportunity to continue developing myself here as well. I am here to do my own thing. And I am really looking forward to that."
"I am my own person and player, and I want to write my own story. I feel good. I'm excited."
"He said Ajax is a great club and Amsterdam is a great city. The fans are nice, and the league is good. Only good things. I think my father is happy for me."
Maxmilian Ibrahimovic has signed a six-month loan deal at Ajax from AC Milan that includes an option for Ajax to make the transfer permanent. The 19-year-old forward moved from Hammarby to AC Milan's academy in 2022 and made his professional debut for Milan's reserve side in January 2025. Zlatan Ibrahimovic previously played for Ajax and Milan, winning domestic honours and scoring 48 goals in 110 appearances for Ajax. Maxmilian says he wants to develop independently and write his own story, and Ajax are hopeful of securing him on a long-term deal after the loan.
