It also fails to mention that vitamin D deficiency can cause tooth decay and that some teas have a fluoride content higher than allowed in public drinking water by the EPA. Individuals have developed fluoride-induced bone damage from drinking copious amounts of tea and 70% of US children and adolescents are fluoride overdosed and afflicted with dental fluorosis - white spotted and/or yellow splotched teeth, according to federal data (NHANES)
