The Night Sky Festival at Shenandoah National Park attracts a large crowd, with about 2,000 people expected to attend this year's event. The festival coincides with the peak of the Perseid meteor shower.
Ranger Dani Goodman gave an informative presentation on the history of stargazing, including topics like Galileo, prehistoric cave paintings, and Greek mythology. She also engaged the audience by using a green laser pointer to point out constellations in the night sky.
