Democratic support for Israel has shifted sharply, while John Fetterman has increasingly positioned himself as the lone pro-Israel Democrat.
The War Powers Resolution is pretty clear here. It requires the president to terminate hostilities within 60 days absent congressional authorization. I think it's important that we in Congress actually assert our own role and responsibility to this. And that part of it was terrific, Gingrich said, reacting to Trump launching moms.gov, a new maternal healthcare initiative aimed at supporting expecting mothers.
It was abundantly clear that if Iran came under attack by anyone - the United States or Israel or anyone - they were going to respond, and respond against the United States. The bill from Democratic Senators Adam Schiff of California and Tim Kaine of Virginia had called for the United States military to withdraw from hostilities that had not been authorized by Congress.
Massie stated on social media, "This is not our war. But if it were, Congress must decide such matters according to our Constitution. I'm introducing a bipartisan War Powers Resolution tomorrow to prohibit our involvement."
