Back in the NES and SNES days, few could touch Capcom when it came to action-adventure games. The studio was on fire, cranking out licensed hits that often rivaled--even outshined in some cases--Nintendo's own efforts (DuckTales, anyone?). There was a time when video game companies gave every brand mascot its own time to shine, but who better than Mickey Mouse to outshine almost everyone?

"The RE Engine is, first of all, something that we've all really built to create something that's important for us as a backbone for our games," he said.
