15-Minute Morning Yoga to Clear Your Mental Clutter
"Begin standing at the top of your mat in Mountain Pose. Stand tall here for 8 full cycles of breath. Upward Salute Use your next inhalation to sweep your arms up overhead in Upward Salute. Standing Forward Bend Exhale as you hinge forward at your hips into Standing Forward Bend. Halfway Lift Inhale to slide your hands up your shins to a flat back in Halfway Lift."
"Low Lunge With an exhalation, fold forward and plant your hands on the mat. Step your left foot back and lower your left knee and top of your left foot to the mat. Bend deeply into your right knee in Low Lunge, keeping your arms low and your fingertips on the mat. Downward-Facing Dog Exhale as you press your hands into the mat, step your right foot back to meet your left, and lift your hips in Downward-Facing Dog."
Morning yoga offers a grounding, easeful start that calms anxious or busy minds. The sequence requires no props and emphasizes embodiment, clarity, and mental lightness. Begin in Mountain Pose for eight full breaths, then move through Upward Salute, Standing Forward Bend, Halfway Lift, and Low Lunge. Transition into Downward-Facing Dog and repeat the flow on both sides, returning to Mountain Pose. Finish with Breath of Joy to expand the breath and release heaviness. Intentional breath and expansive reaches create space and a subtle shift in mental and physical steadiness for the day.
