Paris prosecutors opened a hate speech investigation following death threats towards Olympics opening ceremony artistic director, Thomas Jolly, based on his sexual orientation and assumed Israeli origins.
Critics interpreted part of the Paris Olympics' opening ceremony as mocking Leonardo Da Vinci's The Last Supper, leading to outrage including comments from Donald Trump.
DJ Barbara Butch, who performed at the show, also faced online threats. Butch filed a complaint against online abuse and harassment, under police investigation.
