Every time I visit the grave of my mother, Maria de la Luz Arellano Miranda, I follow the same ritual... The pain I feel at her death remains too raw.
My family laid her to rest five years ago today, in a ceremony I remember like it happened yesterday. Hundreds attended the Mass... There was mariachi, wails, fainting, hugs.
