For me, it is always as much about setting a process in action and seeing what happens as illustrating a single idea. The glass covers the flowers to protect them, but it also accelerates their decomposition.
My first gerbera piece was called preserve 'beauty', but in this series, the use of glass introduces a paradox. It contributes to both preservation and decay, emphasizing the transient nature of beauty.
