Critically ill children leave Gaza in first evacuation in weeks
Briefly

A group of 21 severely sick children and their mothers were evacuated from Gaza, the first medical evacuation since the closure of the Rafah crossing last month. The evacuation was coordinated by Israel, Egypt, the United States, and international partners.
The children, most with cancer, faced risks of death due to lack of treatment in Gaza. The hope is this evacuation will open a pathway for critically ill Palestinians to access medical care abroad, although the exact treatment plans and further evacuations remain uncertain.
