Women are making big C-suite gains, study says - but there's a catch
Briefly

Women now occupy nearly 30% of C-suite roles, a significant rise from 17% in 2015, yet they still trail men in senior positions and managerial ranks.
Despite progress, women of color are vastly underrepresented within corporate America, holding only 7% of C-suite positions, demonstrating a stark contrast to white women.
Gender diversity remains crucial in hiring; however, the emphasis on it has declined, with only 78% of employers prioritizing it now compared to 87% in 2019.
According to the new McKinsey report, while women’s presence in managerial roles has increased marginally, the progression to top executive positions remains predominantly male.
