Scientists say mystery of how red wine headaches occur may be solved

We think we are finally on the right track toward explaining this millennia-old mystery, said Morris Levin, the director of the Headache Center at the University of California, San Francisco.
Levels of flavonoids can be 10 times higher in red wines than whites, making them prime candidates for causing immediate headaches.
The next step is to test it scientifically on people who develop these headaches.
