According to Bloomberg's Mark Gurman, Apple is currently exploring development of new devices leveraging Vision Pro's technology, including smart glasses and camera-equipped AirPods, aiming to compete directly with Meta.
Apple's Vision Products Group is reportedly working on at least four new devices, attempting to capitalize on the capabilities of its Vision Pro technology, which successfully detects the user's environment.
A lower-cost version of the Vision headset is anticipated for release next year priced around $2,000. Despite being less powerful and lacking the EyeSight feature, this version aims for significantly greater sales.
The first-generation Vision Pro headset starts at $3,499. Apple expects that by introducing a more affordable version, unit sales could potentially double, significantly recouping the considerable investments made in its development.
