Start of Capitals preseason game against Blue Jackets pushed back due to travel issues
Briefly

The Washington Capitals preseason game against the Columbus Blue Jackets, originally scheduled to start at 7 p.m. tonight at Capital One Arena, will now start at 8:15 p.m. due to Columbus experiencing travel issues.
Due to the remnants of Hurricane Helene, which are affecting areas in Ohio, Tennessee, and North Carolina, the Capitals' game had to be delayed.
The Capitals confirmed that doors to Capital One Arena will open at 6 p.m. as originally scheduled, despite the delayed start of the game.
Head coach Spencer Carbery prepared his lines and defense pairings during the morning skate, maintaining focus on player performance amid the scheduling chaos.
