Microsoft is expanding its cloud gaming access by launching the Xbox TV app on Amazon's Fire TV Sticks in July. This move allows Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers to stream a variety of games directly to Fire TV devices.
This marks the first time the Xbox TV app is available on a device outside Samsung's recent TVs and monitors. Microsoft's partnership with Samsung began in 2022, and an Xbox app was previously accessible on Meta's Quest VR headsets.
Ashley McKissick, head of Xbox experiences and platforms engineering, expressed excitement about adding Fire TV to their cloud gaming device roster. Microsoft aims to reach more players globally with expanded cloud gaming availability.
